Majors Program

The Major Leagues is the highest level within our Little League program and is geared toward boys and girls who are league age 10-12 who have demonstrated both the skill and interest in competing at the highest level of play. Like the Minors, the Major League teams compete during the regular season against other teams in San Mateo Little League American, culminating their season with a San Mateo City Championships verses the San Mateo National Little League during the final week of the season before All Star announcements. The Major League division is a competitive baseball division. While continuing to emphasize advanced baseball strategies and overall understanding of the game and developing good citizenship and sportsmanship, this division will be conducted on a competitive basis. Winning is a component of the major league. Scores and standings will be maintained, with a playoff format for all teams at the end of the season The maximum number of players to be placed on any majors’ team roster is 12. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.
